Experience the only Hunter Pace held at the Kentucky Horse Park! Ride across the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park grounds while enjoying the rare opportunity
to school and compete over American Eventing Championships (AEC) cross-country fences.
Whether you're looking for a competitive ride, a fun day with friends, or an educational schooling opportunity, this event is designed for riders of all levels.
How It Works
Two Days of Competition
The Hunter Pace is held over two days (September 5 & 6).
Ride Saturday, Sunday, or both days.
Each day is judged separately, with its own ribbons and prizes.
Divisions
Choose the division that best fits your riding style.
Jumping | Non-Jumping | Family/Pleasure
Divisions are NOT separated by whether you jump. They are judged based on different optimum times.
Riders in any division may choose to jump or not jump any obstacle they encounter!
Event Format
Ride in teams of 2–4 riders (no solo riders).
Each division has an undisclosed optimum time, and placings are based on finishing closest to that time.
No assigned ride times—simply arrive with your team, check in, and head out when you're ready.
Want another lap? You may ride the course a second time on the same horse for $25.
Second rounds are for schooling only and are not judged.
Entry Fees
Enter early and save! The earlier you register, the lower your entry fee.
Early Bird (Now – August 15): $55/ ride
Pre-Entry (August 16 – September 4): $60/ride
Day-of Entry (September 5–6): $65/ ride
